Llinas then joined the Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office in Snow Hill and Ocean City, Maryland, where he served as an Assistant State’s Attorney. In this role, he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases in the Circuit and District Courts of Worcester County.

In addition to his legal career, J. Christopher Llinas is an avid endurance athlete. He has completed 30+ marathons, including the Boston Marathon in 2015 and 2016.

Llinas has also completed numerous half-marathons, 10-milers, and shorter races. Furthermore, Llinas has participated in various triathlons, including 5 Ironman distance triathlons, 8 half Ironman’s, and numerous shorter races.

He has also engaged in other challenging physical endeavors, such as swimming 12.5 miles around Key West in 2017. In 2023, he will competed in the Miami Marathon, Ironman Cork, and the New York City Marathon Llinas is dedicated to raising money for select charities through the Ironman Foundation and actively maintains a fitness routine that often includes swimming, running, biking, surfing, lifting, or yoga.

Christopher Llinas is an active member of several legal associations, including the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National College of DUI Defense (serving as the Connecticut State Delegate), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
